Rex had some Thoughts on Islands of Adventure a few days ago in which he named IOA his favorite theme park. At the end of his blog, he asked which park was my favorite, correctly narrowing the options down to the Magic Kingdom or IOA. Below is my brief response.
As many of you probably know, a new park called Hard Rock Park is set to open in May 2008 in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. The Beast and I are pretty intrigued by this concept since both of us are also into rock and hard rock music (ask us about our former/current bands Sojourn or Judah First sometime) and (shockingly) theme parks.
You can now order your official RexandtheBeast.com merchandise by visiting our new store. Check it out!
The last RexandtheBeast adventure was a Thanksgiving trip to Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, TN. Unfortunately, Rex was unable to make the trip due to a last minute issue, but I still went with my family, including my niece Bella (you can see me holding her in the Dollywood pictures). Rex and I will be soon making another Dollywood trip with extensive pictures and reviews of Mystery Mine and Thunderhead.
Several of you have asked about having the ability to leave comments for us on our site. So, on blogs, videos, and all future pictures, you will have the opportunity to leave comments. Enjoy!

Here at RexandtheBeast.com we invite you to "Join the Journey" with us on our theme park adventures around the world. As we have mentioned in our "What's The Point" article, RexandtheBeast.com is not a website designed for continuous up to the minute theme park news. On occasion we will certainly reference current news and events from the theme park world, especially those areas that interest us (like my recent Evel Knievel post). So, the question remains, where does one go to receive the latest in theme park news?
Evel Knievel is a legend. Millions of fans mourned the passing of the original super daredevil just a few days ago. I have been a long time fan of Knievel, so I was thrilled when Six Flags, St. Louis announced that they were constructing a roller coaster named after the famed motocycle stuntman.
Then I saw the artist drawing for the Evel Knievel coaster.
I am sitting in the airport waiting on my flight to New York. I am going to NY for the weekend to enjoy the holiday atmosphere at Rockefeller Center and in Manhattan generally. While waiting, I heard a call for a flight leaving to Orlando, which made me think of Orlando and its various parks.
The start of RexandtheBeast.com has been exciting to watch. We appreciate all of you first visitors and look forward to bringing you more content and information soon.
The Beast and I realized we had a couple of glitches in the opening of the site that we are working on (one being we have added a contact link in the side menu (on the left of the content pages) for you to contact us and let us know your thoughts...and send in your Universal Revenge contest guesses).
