December 1st 2007--An exciting day for Rex and the Beast. This is the
day our new website RexandtheBeast.com goes live. We want to welcome
all of our friends, family and other visitors who are soon to be
friends to our site. We invite you to Join the Journey! here at
RexandtheBeast.com.
First, a little background. We (Rex (the good-looking blonde in the
pictures and on the homepage) and the Beast (the other guy)) are
brothers, and have spent many years enjoying visiting various Theme,
Thrill and Amusement Parks (check out our article in the Articles
section on our usage of those terms) both separately and together.
After taking many trips to Orlando, Los Angeles and other locales in
the last few years, we decided that we have so much fun during our
various trips, that it would be fun to put together this website to
allow you to Join the Journey! and participate in our various
adventures, read our musings issues of the day (in this Blog and in our
Articles), and peruse other general park info we have on our site.
Since Rex lives in Denver, Colorado and the Beast lives in Louisville,
Kentucky, logistics are always interesting—an issue I am sure will make
its way into various Blog entries over time. For a short review of
what we hope RexandtheBeast.com will be and what we intend to do (and
not to do), take a look at our article entitled
RexandtheBeast.com—What’s the Point? In the Articles section.
One important point we want to make is that we expect to grow and
expand with you rather than simply listing information about all of the
trips we have made in the past. Of course, some old pictures, articles
and videos are on the site (and past trip information will be added to
the site every now and then), but we are looking at this as the
beginning of a journey together, which is what will make this fun!
We just got back from a trip to Orlando for Halloween Horror Nights at
Universal Studios, which we enjoyed, as always. On that trip we made a
movie entitled Universal Revenge (see the Blog entry regarding the
little contest built into the movie), which is a sequel to Mission:IOA,
a movie we shot at Islands of Adventure about a year ago. We think you
will enjoy these short films, and they will certainly give you a good
idea of the personalities of Rex and the Beast.
Drop us an email and let us know what you think about the site and
provide any other information you would like to share with us. Thanks for visiting, and we will talk to you soon.

Love the new blog
Hey guys, love the new blog. Phil, since it probably isn't worth the trip for Rex, you and I need to head up to Holiday World and ride The Voyage (if you haven't yet). It has to be worth an hour and fifteen minute drive to see if it can knock The Beast off as my favorite wooden roller coaster. Of course, factoring in nostalgia and the enormous amount of my youth spent on The Beast, there really isn't much of a chance of beating it out.

Hi Danny
Yo, MTV Raps
Daniel-San, good to have you drop by. I agree with the Beast completely, lets try and have you come up for one of the trips to Kentucky Kingdom, Kings Island, and/or Holiday World. We will let you know when we are scheduling those trips so you can try and join us. Thanks for your comments, and keep checking in!
