3 Parks I (The Beast) Desperately Want To Visit

I (The Beast) was thinking the other day how blessed I am to have had the pleasure of visiting some of the country’s best theme parks from coast to coast. It’s been even better because of the company of my brother and friend, Rex! We have visited and documented our theme park journeys from California to Virginia and have experienced many of the iconic attractions in the theme park universe.

But…there is still work to be done. Not counting the international theme parks we would still like to visit, here are my personal top 3 destinations that have not yet had a RexandtheBeast appearance.

1. Knoebels – Elysburg, PA
I want to visit this park for primarily one reason – the Haunted Mansion. I have heard for years how this is one of the best dark rides on the planet, and I still have not experienced it! Of course, Phoenix has been consistently ranked the best wooden rollercoaster in the country, and in 2019, Koebel’s won the Golden Ticket away for the best food. That means it beat out Dollywood. So, bring those three things together and Knoebels is my number 1 destination to visit. (I didn’t even mention Black Diamond, which also looks amazing).

2. Kennywood – West Mifflin, PA
Kennywood just looks like an amazingly fun place with some great attractions. Steel Curtain was voted the best new roller coaster of 2019 and Kennywood has Noah’s Ark, the last operating Noah’s Ark attraction in the world. Since we will be in PA anyway to visit Knoebels, this one is definitely on my list.

3. Santa Cruz Beach and Boardwalk
On the other side of the country is the Santa Cruz Beach and Boardwalk. This place looks absolutely perfect, with every fun attraction imaginable. But the one that draws me in more than any is the legendary “Haunted Castle.” Much like the Haunted Mansion at Knoebels, I have heard about the greatness of the Haunted Castle for a very long time and it sounds like it would be right up my alley. But then, when I look at this list of family rides at the boardwalk, I wonder if this needs to be number one on my “to visit” list. Wow!

So those are my top 3 parks. What would yours be?
