Rex and I are about to embark on a series of theme park adventures over Memorial Day Weekend that is reminiscent of the good ol’ days when we went to theme parks all the time all over the country. Due to life changes for us, we have had to slow down a bit over the years. But not this weekend! Here’s what we will be doing…
On Friday, May 24, we both fly into Baltimore/Washington and after traveling a very short distance in our rental car, we will stop by Six Flags America in Woodmore, MD. We are excited to jump on the Superman: Ride Of Steel and experience a hypercoaster we have yet to ride.
After we quickly hit that park, we will drive to Williamsburg, VA and get as much rest as possible. We are going to need it, because we will be standing at Busch Gardens Williamsburg when the gate opens on Saturday, May 25. Finally, RATB will conquer this beloved park and oh boy, we have a ton of rides to experience. I’m excited about riding the legendary Loch Ness Monster, Apollo’s Chariot, and Verbolten.
That night, we will drive up north and stop at Doswell, VA. Again, we will need some good rest because Kings Dominion will be waiting for us on Sunday morning. I have to say, I’m a bit freaked out by the look and reputation of Intimidator 305. It’s been a long, long time since I have been on a Giga Coaster, but I can’t wait!
All along the way, we invite you to Join The Journey with us. Be sure to follow us on Twitter and Facebook. We will have tons of photos, live feeds, and of course, when it is all said and done, we will post another legendary RATB video of our experience.
Until then, have a great weekend and we will see you soon!
